memory lane

Sekolah rendah saya! Mula² terjumpa salah seorang rakan seperguruan yang ingin tukar suka sama suka for the next school session in 2011, which brings me to fb page of my primary school.. Sekolah Kebangsaan Sungai Binjai. 

Suddenly, the memories.. they are all coming back to me. Teringat abah pernah tunggu kat luar kelas dengan air kotak milo first day sekolah masa darjah satu. Masa tu beg sekolah pun tak ada. Kakak sepupu kesian, dia pun bagi beg dia untuk Jijah ke sekolah. Ingat lagi.. kelas 1 Hijau. Bangunan atas itulah tempat abah tunggu. Kelas paling kiri sekali. 

Teringat juga, pernah kongsi duit belanja dengan adik Jijah, Dila sebab abah tak cukup duit, masa rehat. Jijah dapat makanan RMT so share dengan Dila, duit Dila buat beli air dengan kuih. Seronok dapat RMT sebab makan free.. hehehee..

Teringat hari² kayuh basikal pergi sekolah lalu Jalan Nenas (lorong kecik ikut kampung). Selepas itu bila dah berani sikit, ikut laluan jalan besar sampai kemalangan kena sondol dengan kereta beberapa hari sebelum UPSR. Abah sampai sekarang kalau nampak kereta yang sondol Jijah tu akan cakap," haaa.. tu kereta yang langgar kamu dulu". Walhal berbelas tahun dah berlalu dan entah bukan pemandu yang sama pun.. heheheh.. 

Teringat pernah buat English story telling masa perhimpunan. Even malu, tapi kena paksa dengan teacher. Teringat juga Cikgu Maziah yang suka cubit perut kalau tak siap kerja sekolah. Ingat lagi dia suruh kitorang tanam pokok dan bawa ke sekolah tapi Jijah tak bawa. Cikgu Maziah nak cubit tapi tak dapat sebab perut tebal, banyak lemak.. heheheh.. 

Banyak lagi kenangan.. pernah simpan duit sehari 20sen lebih kurang sebab bila habis kokurikulum hari Sabtu nak singgah Pasaraya Meru, beli pen lah, mainan lah, jajan lah.. heheheh.. those were the days.. 

All of them, bitter sweet memories are flashing back again.. bangunan di atas tu pun dah roboh diganti dengan bangunan baru sebab uzur sangat dah.. dari zaman Jepun lagi.. heheh.. dan sebak pulak.. teringat abah dan emak.. susah payah membesarkan Jijah dan adik².. terima kasih mak abah.. kerana membesarkan kami :)

yesterday once more

Like I said.. I have lost my mojo to write. A colleague asked me what mojo means.. oh well.. according to one online dictionary that I referred to, mojo means charm.. Anywayss, the mojo still.. lost. I dont know how to gain it back again.. maybe in the first place, I just dont have any. By the way thanx to facebook where I spend most of my time there.. stalking browsing through and I came across a facebook web page which I find reallly interesting. It made me thinking of going down to the memory lane of my childhood...

apa tah namanya biskut nih.. but that time it was among
the famous cookies.. ingat tak biskut kapal terbang?


I still vividly remember this. Dulu mana ada duit sangat nak beli ni..
tapi sanggup kumpul duit beli sebab ada small toys dalam dia..
biskut coklat dia pun sedap!!


Tora datang lagi!!! terngiang² suara Mat Sentul dalam kepala.. sama
macam dendang.. suka sangat nak beli..



Aiskrim 10 sen!! Sekarang orang panggil aiskrim Malaysia..
Jijah tak ingatlah panggil apa dulu.. tapi memang suka sangat..
bezanya.. dulu dapat satu batang pun dah cukup mewah rasanya
tapi budak² sekarang sampai 5 batang sorang..


2. The school "IN" things


Water colour.. naik sekolah menengah Buncho Set pulak..
lagi satu Luna Steadler Colour Pencil..
Dulu kalau dah dapat pensil warna luna tuh memang suka sangat...
tapi jarang dapat.. sebab mahal kan..


masa tuh baru nak kenal mechanical pencil aka pensil tekan!!
mahal pensil tuh!! Ketap bibir aje teringin tapi tadek
duit nak beli... so memang banyakla pensil gini..
lagi satu sebab nak buat main pensel².. heheheh



among the popular "indoor" games.. banyak lagi.. SOS..
BINGO.. main nama negeri... kadang² bila boring indoor..
kita gi outdoor pulak.. main gelang getah.. "zero point".. main galah panjang
main sep tiang.. sep tiang paling famous masa bulan puasa, kan?
lagi main ape ek.. baling selipar, konda kondi..
ehhh banyak la lagik.. yang budak² dah tak main dah..


the girls favourite things.. kalau menatang ni tadek..
main pensel² pulak.. habis pemadam, pengasah pensel, pembaris
disusun jadi perabot buat main orang pensel..
LOL!!

This was the best thing of growing up in the 80's and 90's era..
the TV shows!!!


MOERO ATTACK series!!! masa tuh semua pun main volley ball..
remember the tagline? sommersault berpusing!!
satu lagi.. CHIAKI.. masa ni bila isi borang cita².. almost
every girl in class isi PRAMUGARI..
hahahahah.. those days....


These were the reasons to wake up early during weekends...
"JEM IS MY NAME"!!
suka gummi bears... and carebears!!
my little pony.. owhhh banyak lagilah...
and smurf.. I miss papa smurf so much!!


kesatria baja hitam!!!! tak heran sangat dengan heroic and warrior things..
tapi kekacakan wataknya yg irresistible itu!!
hohhh.. kecik² lagi sudah suka tengok orang handsome..

Owh those were the days... I dont think I could gather it all and reminisce it one by one in just an entry like this.. There is so much to tell.. but I tell you.. though I miss those good old days so much that doesnt mean I want to go back to the past. Some people may say," bestnya kalau dapat jadi kanak² balik". Well.. I dont.. I love to be living today.. just the way I am now.. Even if I were given a chance to be 17 again which is totally impossible la kan.. no, thank you.. Nevertheless, the past meant so much hence I treasure it.. thats all.. ;)

reminiscing the legend

Sejak akhir2 ni beberapa orang ternama telah pergi meninggalkan kita. Among them Param.. Ustaz Asri.. Yasmin Ahmad..

I believe most people of my age remember the late Param so well.. I grew up by watching his drama and films during the 80's.. alongside Badul, Hamid Ghurka, arwah Yusni Jaafar.. Who would forget?

Ustaz Asri.. suara beliau.. suaranya yang unik.. who would forget his soothing manly voice when he sang those nasyids? I totally gonna miss him during pagi raya for the takbir..

Among those 3.. I definitely going to miss Yasmin Ahmad.. soooo much.. Im not related to her.. barely knew her.. somehow I felt the loss so much.. her pieces.. masterpieces I reckoned.. started with her beautiful and touching commercials.. later the films.. Rabun.. Sepet.. Mukhsin.. Gubra.. Talentime.. Though ramai yang tidak berapa bersetuju dengan beliau.. but for me.. personally.. her pieces touch my heart deeply.. biarlah banyak aksi tak senonoh pun... namun keasliannya.. the originality.. the pureness of her masterpieces.. terasa sangat ke lubuk hati.. her works is so distinguished that I always knew it was hers before knowing.. untill now I am still wondering.. how did she manage to capture people's heart through her work? Wasnt she a brilliant? She came up with all those simple things .. and I believe that neither of us could forget her simplicity.. sangat terkesan di hati.. and quoting a friend who said.. she could do it so well.. blending the multicolor races ads and films without being pretentious.. zero hypocrisy.. no one could do it without sincerity..

I just dont care if the arwah a she/he.. all I know is that she was a good person.. a very good person compare to many others.. Al fatihah.. semoga rohnya dirahmati..

this commercial was aired in Singapore.. which potrayed the love of a wife for her late husband.. it was actually adapted from the movie Good Will Hunting.. but arwah Yasmin made it in her own unforgettable style..

1. She is actually my good buddy since in MRSM BP(1996) and used to be my classmate

2. She was among the first who came to me and greeted me when I first came to the class back then.. it was in surau if Im not mistaken..

3. She studied with me in UKM and also in the same faculty which was the Sains Hayat..

4. She is now a PTD, married.. with two adorable munchkins...

5. One of the nicest person I ever met.. and pretty too.. :)

1. Im an internet junkie. I can spend hours in front of the pc surfing and browsing the net. Am now a blogger.. I love visiting blogs of others.. and spend time reading them.. but Im not interested in those making-money-thru-your-blog thingy.. I have no means in making part time besides than my job now...

2. I love music but I dont teach this subject in school. I only love singing. I enjoy karaoke with my husband but we dont do it at home.. we afraid we might disturb the neighbourhood with our shrilling and shrieking voices.. hence we always go out to some karaoke studio nearby..

3. I used to be an avid fan of the late KURT COBAIN & NIRVANA.. I used to have most of their cassettes.. masa tuh mana ada duit nak beli cd.. I have it from Bleach up to The MTV Unplugged.. hence the name KURT aka COBAIN aka KURUT... I was famously ( cehhh.. famous sangat la..) called KURT by my classmates back then.. COBAIN by some of my closest friends.. and KURUT during my Uni time.. tak sessssuai cikgu ni kan.. but.. even until now my ex MRSMmate and exUKM's still call me by those nicknames.. hehehehhe.. among the reason why I was so crazy bout KURT COBAIN was the fact that our birthday fell on the same date.. :)

4. I listen to all genre of music except.. dangdut & irama traditional.. but I still listen to the good ones like "Keroncong Hujan" by Adibah Noor .. though my Nirvana phase has past but the grunge and alternative music is still one of my favs.. local talent like Intoxicated, Juliet the Orange, Butterfinger, Nice Stupid Playground, Subculture among those on my list.. and I listen to all indie music.. I love Yuna and Kokokaina the most.. I listen to Plain White T's, Jason Mraz, Colby Caillat as well.. :)

5. I love reading story books ever since I was in kindergarten.. but back then My family could not afford to buy me any story book so I always went to the public library during weekend by cycling there. When I was schooling in Sri Aman, I always borrow the " Sweet Valley Twins" book from my friends.. Now.. I buy my own books.. and for the moment is reading a book entitle This Charming Man by Marian Keys..

6. To those who still do not know.. I am actually an avid fan of the TWILIGHT SAGA too.. I have all the 4 installments.. Ohhhh my precioussss...

7. My husband and I love to watch movies.. before this while we were staying in Teluk Intan we always went out for movies at JJ Ipoh.. now living in Dungun, which is quite far from the sources.. we watch movies at home.. we have quite a collection of DVDs..

8. I once went to Sabah in the year of 1999.. while I was in UKM. I actually one of the fasilitator for a motivation camp in UMS.. So after the camp, I did climb the Kinabalu Mount but I only managed to reach Laban Rata since I was not fit enough to reach the summit.. I even took almost 8 hours just to reach Laban Rata while most could make it in 4 to 5 hours only.. I still remember I had a bowl of plain maggi mee for RM4.50 there.. and I did receive a certificate for it but have lost it.. rugi betul...

9. I am in my late twenties now.. going to be 30 next year.. but I have plenty of dreams to pursuit.. I wont tell.. I am keeping it to myself.. I just love blogging.. sometime blogging keep me sane.. hehehhe..

10. Rite now I am missing my family in Klang so much.. I miss "little" Ijun.. my blabby mom.. my cold father & blur Zakuan.. basiccally I miss my hometown so much..

4. Chucky Mem - my long lost cousin.. reconciled in Facebook.. padahal bukan duk jauh sangat pun.. sekampung tapi tak pernah jumpa pun kat kampung.. hehehe

5. Atune - also my long lost cousin who is also Chucky's twin... depa nih kembar tak seiras.. heheheheh..

6. Cik Zugha - My long lost friend from ATPN, ex Assunta.. basiccally the "musuh tradisi" of my school, Sri Aman.. but we are good.. till now.. met her via FB.. thank god that I met her that I finally met up with other friends of ATPN.. all because of her.. :)

7. Comel - she bloghopped into my blog.. and we became the cyber buddies now.. :).. tak pernah jumpa pun..

8. Nadie - my good buddy from ATPN too.. an ex BBGS.. used to be a very close friend of mine.. but time changes everything.. and I still adore her.. actually she was among the biggest influence in my music taste.. hence the Nirvana.. :)

9. Sis Emmi - my ex housemate when I first came to Teluk Intan.. ex swimming buddy in Nova Scotia Estate's pool..

10. Teacher Lynda - one of my best friends now.. my exschoolmate in teluk Intan.. I miss her and her kiddos.. who were also my swimming buddies while I was there.. She is a good diver too.. :)

arrrhrhggg.. letih mak tau!!! dari petang menaip.. rasa cam buat proposal ape ntah.. nih bukan sebarang anugerah tau.. free2 aje dapat.. haaaa.. Anyway.. thanx again to Baiti for this award.. anything u like from Terengganu? keropok lekor or ikan aye perhaps? ekekekek...

akhirnya.. Tuhan ambil atuk.. selepas 5 tahun menderita dek kanser prostat...
arwah atuk dah tua.. ikut kad pengenalan.. umurnya menjangkau 83 tahun..
tapi abah kata.. IC atuk salah.. sebab dalam IC atuk lahir tahun 1928 tapi arwah
adik atuk lahir tahun 1926.. tak logik.. orang dulu2 kan... janji daftar...
mesti atuk lagi tua dari arwah adik dia.. abah kata.. umur atuk yang sebenarnya
hampir 87 tahun..

ingat lagi.. atuk pernah belikan basikal yang pertama untuk aku..
atuk tak pernah kedekut dengan cucu.. tapi aku terkilan jugak..
sebab aku merantau dari kecil.. tak rapat dengan dia.. macam cucu2 yang lain..
tak apa lah.. aku tahu.. atuk sayang aku jugak.. dan tuhan pasti sangat
sayangkan dia..

masa aku lawat dia selepas adik ipar aku meninggal.. dia ada cakap ", orang muda
kok senang aje meninggal, atuk nih kok susah sgt"...

tak sangka tuhan makbulkan doa atuk secepat ini.. moga2 tuhan cucuri rahmat pada roh JAMINGIN BIN SARIMIN..

its killing me softly

heyyy... look.. there's angah, along, bila, kakak, wawa, ain, nana... im missing them so much.. my day used to be so alive yet so miserably hectic because of them back in Bamboo Bay. It was them who made my day when i was there.

It is all so fresh in my mind. Those days when they were back from their kindy. Around 11.45 to 12.30 noon, the sound of their cheeky feets and laughters could be heard from the staff room where i was always spent my time on my very cluttered desk. A few minutes later, I could here voices screaming ,"acikkkkk!!!". I was like running away since i have dozens of task to be completed. I tried to escape but I could not run away. I tried to hide, but they would always find me. No matter where i went, they would be tailing me. Kept on requesting nonsense stuffs from me. Most of the time, i just did not have the heart to turn them down because i love them so much. They loved my drawings so much and they would ask for more and more till i had to made up tons of excuses just to put them away because i have datelines to catch up.

Their absence makes my heart ache. Though they were among those culprits that always delayed my school work but i miss those days. I miss their yellings. I miss their voices. I miss their silly act. I miss their smell even they always smelt so bad during the hot school 's afternoons. I miss their cheekiness. I miss their laughter. I miss the way how they always begging for things from me. Above all, I miss their absurdity and craziness .. cute and yet charmingly crazy little kids... On the side notes, to those lil rugrats' mothers.. aku tak pernah ambil hati.. i loved all the attentions..

"Acik Jaa.. Acik Jaa", their voices keep lingering and shouting in my head now.. and its killing me.. i just... miss them.. badly..

Last Friday, i had a phone conversation with along and angah.. angah was asking where am i now.. all i could say was,"jauhhhhh".. and along kept telling me how nice her new kindy teacher was.. and i was .. i wish i was there.. listening to them everyday..

Linda.. boleh tak kalau ko dengan kak ita, kak tini semua.. post anak2 korang ke sini?
