these boots are made for walking..

except this one particular shoes o' mine. They have been with me for about 3 months now. Arent they cute.. like.. reallly cute.. the ribbons.. owhhhh.. I love ribbons... but I hardly put them on since they keep on yanked out.. (T_T)

cute kan??

Im not a shoe fetish but there were these voices coming out of nowhere begging me to buy them when I first set my eyes on them at the store. Its merely an impulsive buy.. as much as how cute they are but they are malfunctioned!! And as much as I love them, but I dont seem to be able to wear it comfortably right...

The first I tried it on, 'twas quite loose but they were the last of their kind so the SA advised me to put these lil sponges thing that cost only RM6 inside the shoes.. It seem to work the first time but after several attempts at work.. it got all kembang and bailed out on me again... ~sobs~

I even stuffed some tissues inside besides than the spongie thing..
an attempt to avoid them from tercabut!

Ahkak sayaaanggg amats sama mereka itewww.. but how? I am thinking of putting/sew some straps with buckle on them.. is that possible? I mean.. can I send it to some shoemaker or cobbler to mend it by putting some buckle strap on them so I can wear them without having them yanked out? Does such service ever exist anyway? huhuhuu.. its such a waste to just see my money those beauties all shiny and wrapped in its box..

Sooo.. anyone.. any idea?? or maybe.. anyone would like to have them as their own.. Im willing to let it go at a very affordable and negotiable price.. it is a size 6 and not any high end brand.. so drop me an email.. or PM me at my FB.. BUT... let say I got my problem solved, I may change my mind *wink*.. we will see la ekkk..

yesterday once more

Like I said.. I have lost my mojo to write. A colleague asked me what mojo means.. oh well.. according to one online dictionary that I referred to, mojo means charm.. Anywayss, the mojo still.. lost. I dont know how to gain it back again.. maybe in the first place, I just dont have any. By the way thanx to facebook where I spend most of my time there.. stalking browsing through and I came across a facebook web page which I find reallly interesting. It made me thinking of going down to the memory lane of my childhood...

Remember these?

1. The Junk Foods

apa tah namanya biskut nih.. but that time it was among
the famous cookies.. ingat tak biskut kapal terbang?

I still vividly remember this. Dulu mana ada duit sangat nak beli ni..
tapi sanggup kumpul duit beli sebab ada small toys dalam dia..
biskut coklat dia pun sedap!!

Tora datang lagi!!! terngiang² suara Mat Sentul dalam kepala.. sama
macam dendang.. suka sangat nak beli..

Aiskrim 10 sen!! Sekarang orang panggil aiskrim Malaysia..
Jijah tak ingatlah panggil apa dulu.. tapi memang suka sangat..
bezanya.. dulu dapat satu batang pun dah cukup mewah rasanya
tapi budak² sekarang sampai 5 batang sorang..

2. The school "IN" things

Water colour.. naik sekolah menengah Buncho Set pulak..
lagi satu Luna Steadler Colour Pencil..
Dulu kalau dah dapat pensil warna luna tuh memang suka sangat...
tapi jarang dapat.. sebab mahal kan..

masa tuh baru nak kenal mechanical pencil aka pensil tekan!!
mahal pensil tuh!! Ketap bibir aje teringin tapi tadek
duit nak beli... so memang banyakla pensil gini..
lagi satu sebab nak buat main pensel².. heheheh

among the popular "indoor" games.. banyak lagi.. SOS..
BINGO.. main nama negeri... kadang² bila boring indoor..
kita gi outdoor pulak.. main gelang getah.. "zero point".. main galah panjang
main sep tiang.. sep tiang paling famous masa bulan puasa, kan?
lagi main ape ek.. baling selipar, konda kondi..
ehhh banyak la lagik.. yang budak² dah tak main dah..

the girls favourite things.. kalau menatang ni tadek..
main pensel² pulak.. habis pemadam, pengasah pensel, pembaris
disusun jadi perabot buat main orang pensel..
tiba² muka akak rasa merah padam pulak ni!!

3. The TeleVision

This was the best thing of growing up in the 80's and 90's era..
the TV shows!!!

MOERO ATTACK series!!! masa tuh semua pun main volley ball..
remember the tagline? sommersault berpusing!!
satu lagi.. CHIAKI.. masa ni bila isi borang cita².. almost
every girl in class isi PRAMUGARI..
hahahahah.. those days....

These were the reasons to wake up early during weekends...
suka gummi bears... and carebears!!
my little pony.. owhhh banyak lagilah...
and smurf.. I miss papa smurf so much!!

kesatria baja hitam!!!! tak heran sangat dengan heroic and warrior things..
tapi kekacakan wataknya yg irresistible itu!!
hohhh.. kecik² lagi sudah suka tengok orang handsome..

same issue here.. sebab character yang handsome juga!!

The Ferris Bueller show.. am not sure how many knew this series..
Its actually among the earliest sitcom that I ever love.. Jennifer Aniston's
early days of acting.. Masa tu ahkak gila gak tengok cerita
Growing Pains, Family Ties, Silver spoons, Who's The Boss
and a lots more..

among the early anime!! besides than doraemon
ahkak sangaaaaaaaaaaaat suka tengok cerita ini..

and who could forget.. The Ghostbusters?

Owh those were the days... I dont think I could gather it all and reminisce it one by one in just an entry like this.. There is so much to tell.. but I tell you.. though I miss those good old days so much that doesnt mean I want to go back to the past. Some people may say," bestnya kalau dapat jadi kanak² balik". Well.. I dont.. I love to be living today.. just the way I am now.. Even if I were given a chance to be 17 again which is totally impossible la kan.. no, thank you.. Nevertheless, the past meant so much hence I treasure it.. thats all.. ;)

bring me back the mojo...

Really.. at this moment being lonely is a bless. Sincerely I felt like nagging. I felt so grumpy but since I am all alone the urge-ness of talking and nagging ease slowly to the land of nowhere and disappear. If I have a child, she/he will definitely be the victim of all this. And that will make me the evil mother..

Given a task that was not delivered well by the power-that-be has really put me into a real pressure. Well... I think it was not being delivered well since it was handed down to me without any further explanation... she seems to let me do it all by myself. In the first place, it wasnt her fault either. The "other" power-that-be supposedly specifically called for me instead of her and explain it right to my face... I think things could be easier then.. enough said.

All these pressure and tense.. hence the diversion of mind. I decided to have a makeover to this blog. Its been a while since the last one.. Having this change hopefully will motivate me more to blog that I actually think that lately... I... have lost the mojo to write..

monolog suci

And yet.. another failed services!! Hahhhh.. Jijah meroyan tengah² malam.. apa kes noksss?

This recently main fuse rumah akak ni rosak.. of course lah sebagai rakyat golongan marhaen akak call customer services to log a complain kan.. first time call report kerosakan.. they gave me a report no pastu senyap.. ok takpe.. another call for the second time.. masih senyap..

While waiting... seorang rakan yg baik hati datang membantu.. but MM and yours truly still waiting for them technician to come sebab bantuan rakan itu hanya sementara..

After a week still at zero response hence the third call.. finally datang juga at almost midnite to repair the broken fuse.. Sikit akak tak kisah as long as it's fixed.. rupanya bila sudah siap kerja membaiki sempat pula hamba Allah ni mengomel.. "kita maghi doh ari tuh tapi tadek oghang ghumoh.." maka dijawab dek MM "terima kasih bang.. kalau datang waktu kerja memang la tadek orang tapi kan saya dah bagi contact no... kenapa tak call?" hamba Allah dua orang tu senyap je angkat barang terus blah.. muka masing² macam menyampah tahap cipan.. cipan comel lagi akak rasa.. sabar je lah..

Maka.. Monolog suci Jijah di tengah malam ini...

"Apa korang ingat kitorang ni tadek kerja lain nak tunggu korang datang???

13 things.. Us, teachers wont tell..

directly to the face of those who only know how to complain of what teachers jobs really is.. dont simply judge us of something that you see from far.. meh sini.. akak bagi pihak cikgu cikgi nak meluah rasa hati yang mencengkam jiwa raga bakul kami ini..

Jijah found this article while reading the Reader Digest months ago. I think it is well-written and would like to share it here regarding the arisen of the issue of how we complaint that our workloads have mounted tremendously that it has taken its toll among some of us. Not all teachers I would say because it may vary according to school's location and the surroundings... and how well teachers tolerate and dwell their jobs in their life too.. so here goes.. according to the Reader Digest its not just the workloads..

Fact #1
RD: If we teach small children, don’t tell us that our jobs are “so cute” and that you wish you could glue and color all day long.

Cikgu Jijah: I really wish it is all that.. but it is more than that ye.. belum lagilah yang terkencing terberak tuh.. kitorang redha ajek.. kalau ada akak² pembantu am, bolehla minta tolong.. tapi kadang tuh kena settle sendiri la dek non...

Fact #2
RD: I’m not a marriage counselor. At parent-teacher conferences, let’s stick to Dakota’s progress, not how your husband won’t help you around the house.

Cikgu Jijah: kita nih nak bercerita pasal report card anak dia kan.. sampai ke hal rumahtangga pulak.. adehhh.. memang tak dapek akak nak nolong de.. takkan la nak pantau anak buat kerja rumah pun tak sempat..

Fact #3
RD: We’re sick of standardized testing and having to “teach to the test.”

Cikgu Jijah : percayalah.. boring tahu asyik² buat latih tubi.. life has bigger meaning and more than just some marks and grade on a piece of paper.. ada kan satu kes yang budak bunuh diri sebab tak dapat 5A in UPSR.. aduyaiii.. ada jugak yang suka tanya "cikgu, kenapa anak saya tak lulus subjek ni?" and tak puas hati pulak bila kita jawab sebab anak encik kurang usaha. So what, if your kid failed his/her paper? My MM only knew how to read when he was 9 years old and he is now an engineer. Not to mention Albert Einstein who had speech difficulty as a child and failed his university entrance test..

Fact #4
RD: Kids used to go out and play after school and resolve problems on their own. Now, with computers and TV, they lack the skills to communicate. They don’t know how to get past hurt feelings without telling the teacher and having her fix it.

Cikgu Jijah : budak sekarang manja amats.. tak kata orang lain.. esok kalau akak ada anak pun gini jugak gamaknya.. mintak jauhla ye.. letih dek nonnnnn.. marah sikit nangis.. marah sikit merajuk.. kawan usik sikit terus " teacherrrrr!!!" sebatu dengar dia jerit panggil cikgu.. katalah satu kelas 20 orang murid .. kalau 20 tuh semua perangai gitu.. 5 orang cukuplah.. tak menang tangan akak jadinya.. nak go on with other lesson pun payah.. so jangan la marah cikgu ye if anak² tu balik mengadu itu ini..

Fact #5
RD: When I hear a loud belch, I remember that a student’s manners are a reflection of his parents’.

Cikgu Jijah: terimalah hakikat.. i dont simply blame the parents but.. malu kan kalau anak tu buat perangai gini? Buka lah mata dan telinga luas².. tegurlah anak tu dulu sebelum hal jadi besar.. setakat sendawa ke kentut jek ke takpe.. takut benda lain... a note for myself too..

Fact #6
RD: Your child may be the center of your universe, but I have to share mine with 25 others.

Cikgu Jijah : minta maaf lah ye.. memang akak tak dapat nak give full attention to all of my pupils. Setakat yang mampu ajek. In a day, a teacher may have to face at least 70 different faces with hundreds of different attitude.. letih yanggggg...

Fact #7
RD:Please help us by turning off the texting feature on your child’s phone during school hours.

Cikgu Jijah : some school may have restricted the use of hp. But I know sometimes its easier if our children have one especially bila nak suruh jemput bila dah habis satu² program tu.. To those yang bagi anak pakai hp.. kawallah sikit penggunaan hp nih.. sila pantau inbox anak anda.. kot ada yang "sexting".. minta dijauhkan.. and.. tak payah lagi bagi hp yang canggih².. kot hilang kena curi kat sekolah.. ahkaaaaakkkkk jugak..

Fact #8
RD: Guys who dribble a ball for a couple of hours a game can make up to $20 million a year. We educate future leaders and make about $51,000 a year.

Cikgu Jijah : To Jijah personally.. I dont complaint much about the moolah that we made.. sebab dah cukup makan pakai.. tak taulah cikgu² lain.. even if ada mesyuarat ke apa ke.. Jijah selalu kena marah dengan kerani sebab malas nak buat mileage claim.. mana tak nya.. banyak lagi kerja lain nak dibuat tu yang terlupa pasal nak buat mileage claim.. but being a normal human being takkan la tak suka kalau ada pay raise kan?

Fact #9
RD: We take on the role of mother, father, psychologist, friend, and adviser every day. Plus, we’re watching for learning disabilities, issues at home, peer pressure, drug abuse, and bullying.

Cikgu Jijah : sometimes jadi minah despatch pun ada.. nih kalau merungut nih.. kang hilang pulak pahala kan.. cuma nak mintak timbangrasa lah sikit.. jangan lah terus hukum kami nih macam² kan..

Fact #10
RD: Kids dish on your secrets all the time—money, religion, politics, even Dad’s vasectomy.

Cikgu Jijah : berhati² la ketika bercakap di rumah... anak² kita ni kadang suka menguping (pasang telinga).. esok kat sekolah habis di cerita nya satu kelas.. "malam tadi abah kita gaduh dengan mak kita sebab tak cukup duit bla bla bla"..

Fact #11
RD: Please, no more mugs, frames, or stuffed animals. A gift card to Starbucks or Staples would be more than enough. A thank-you note: even better.

Cikgu Jijah: seriously.. tak payahla berhabis duit sangat nak bagi hadiah kat cikgu.. Ahkak sendiri tak tau nak letak mana dah hadiah² yang banyak tuh.. bukan tak suka.. sukaaaaa sangat sampai akak ada a small cabinet for all these gifts.. tapi percayalah.. kami tak harap semua tuh..

Fact #12
RD: We love snow days and three-day weekends as much as your kid does.

Cikgu Jijah : errr.. M'sia tadek snow la kan.. just nak highlights that even kami suka dan amat perlukan cuti tapi ramai antara kami yang tak kisah berkorban cuti, buat kelas tambahan untuk anak murid. Yang kesalnya is when some of them pupils just dont bother to show up.. ada kenduri kahwin katanya..

Fact #13
RD: The students we remember are happy, respectful, and good-hearted, not necessarily the ones with the highest grades.

Cikgu Jijah : Definitely not the grades.. bonus je tuh.. nak good grades haruslah semua pihak bekerjasama. Tak cukup if cikgu sahaja yang beriya² nak bagi anak murid pandai. Parents have bigger role than us, teachers.. we are just the outsiders.. Jijah just nak anak murid Jijah jadi manusia yang berguna. Manusia yang berguna doesnt mean kena excellent in exams. We want it to be both pelajaran dan kehidupan. Better still to balance all the JERI aspects.. Jasmani, emosi, rohani dan intelek..

Now.. with all these facts, call us whiny, grumpy, cranky or anything you like.. Actually banyak lagi yang bermain dalam kepala ni. We, teachers are just normal being who is no different from any other normal people. We have our needs and we have our flaws too. Like myself, frankly I have a lots of weaknesses.. Im trying and hoping to improve it lil by lil. A step at a time. Not all teachers are like jerks atau berkira sangat every single details. So lets just help each others out ok... help to build a better life and a better future for us both and our children..
